S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Julie Scolari for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. I’m surprised I scored so high. I do not wish to preach publicly, but I do love to share by belief and love of God with non-believers and people who are down and out.

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Because on my past, I have great sympathy for people who are sad, lonely, overweight, misunderstood, immature in their actions.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. -When I am committed to spending quality time with The Lord, that is when I feel the greatest joy. I can feel His presence in everything I do.

2. -I love serving at St. Vincent’s. I love making eye contact with every person I serve a tray. I feel so blessed when they say “God Bless” to me.

3. -When I am surrounded by my husband and children, and we are laughing, reminiscing and everyone is getting along.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love working on projects with other Christian people, I love to create an atmosphere that when people come together, I can see their enjoyment and happiness.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I want our church to be a place where people can come and feel at total ease. I know life isn’t perfect, but people need to feel secure in order to grow and share. In order for there to be a sense of security, things need to run smooth and look orderly.
Communication is what I believe our church struggles with the most. I have made it my mission to communicate and be as truthful as possible.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
