S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Melissa Schweizer for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
As a junior in college, I was placed in a room with a transfer student who loved Jesus. I told her I was a Christian too but quickly learned she had something much more than I did. There was no “moment of conversion” for me, I just began to redirect my life toward the Lord and over a period of time I soon became “all in” and Jesus became my Lord.
In Philadelphia- both with Living Word Community and Calvary Chapel, my husband and I oversaw a house church in our home for a total of 30+ years.
With Calvary Chapel in Philadelphia, I organized annual women’s retreats for the girls in our home fellowship.
I have shared at our women’s retreats probably on 4 or 5 occasions but it is so very difficult for me! Mostly just talk about my story and how the Lord got me through.
Meeting my friend Jill who was my first long time friend I met when I moved to Philadelphia – she brought me to her church and welcomed me into her fellowship circle and we have been friends ever since.
Marrying my husband and bringing up 4 wonderful children – having our family is such a joy for me!
Being a part of the family of God previously in Philadelphia and now here at Grace – couldn’t live without it.
My husband getting CO poisoning at work – the chemical wreaked havoc on his body, his emotions, his personality. It was like living with a time bomb and it threatened to tear our family apart. The Lord brought me to a place after much struggle of just being ok with it – Jesus made the supreme sacrifice for me, I can certainly allow him to require this sacrifice from me. Very gradually, the Lord began to heal my husband and after many years, peace was restored in our home.
My son Gabe came to live with us when his wife of 8 years left him, and took up with his best friend. The pain I watched him go through was excruciating. He ended up living with us while his wife and best friend enjoyed life in their new 400,000 house. The Lord turned my son’s life on fire for Him through all the pain he went through. So for me, it was worth it.
My husband’s health has deteriorated greatly over the last few years due to agent orange poisoning. He suffers much pain and the Lord is trying to teach me to be compassionate. I am not there but we are traveling this road together, learning along the way.

- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. I am really not a goal oriented person . . . The only thing that comes to mind is that I wish I had more financial resources to bless others with.
