Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Raised in the Lutheran Church, introduced to the Salvation message as a young student at Onsted Elementary through the KYB (Know Your Bible) Club at Onsted Baptist (which we attended during school hours) and accepted Jesus into my heart. Began attending a non-denom church in GA (switched from Lutheran) after a military move at age 34, re-gave my heart to Jesus and began to understand what a “true relationship” with the Lord was all about!

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Many different churches due to military moves . . . Georgia, Okinawa (Japan), Florida, Texas and Michigan . . . Nursery worker, Nursery Co-ordinater, Teacher in Children’s ministry, Mom’s & Tot’s Group co-ordinator, Mentoring Mom’s Leader, Retreat planning.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Neighbor’s in GA who took us under their wing and got us planted in a church where we learned what a true relationship with Jesus looked like.

Other woman who have poured His word consistantly into my heart.

Moving to Okinawa as baby Christians where our husband/wife pastors gave (and trusted) us with many responsibilities, not because of what we already knew, but because they said we had “teachable spirits”–this was empowering.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Fostering a young child for 18 months and having to say good-bye.

Teaching and serving in a church that felt like a desert for three years, knowing that it was where God had us for a season–even through we didn’t understand the reason. Patience and trust.

Growing up Lutheran, learning about God yet never understanding or realizing the relational piece . . . finally seeing the beauty in a true love relationship with Jesus and wanting that for others who are stuck in a “religious rut”.
